Baby sleeping in cupboard

We thought Claire was kidding when she wanted to sleep in a cupboard last night and since it’s really cold Amy just knew she would have to go in later and cover her up on her bed however she was officially passed out in the cupboard like so.  She is into this sleep in weird places thing and it’s pretty funny.

Coco is still sleeping with her snake which was used back in the crib days.  She isn’t as obsessed with it now but still asks for it most the time.

Dora the explorer backpacks

DSC03009Well Peppa the Pig’s fame in the Soukenka household has been replaced with Dora especially for Claire.  Claire will barely allow us to wash her one and only Dora shirt and digs through dirty hampers screaming until she gets her way.  I stumbled across the great idea of sparking up a Dora the Explorer backpack fun including maps we could store and well the girls were ready to leave us to go on an adventure.  I think Dora’s parents let her go on her own too much and demonstrates really bad parental procedures… Maybe her mom works too much or something Smile

Regardless it is always good fun when they wave Bye bye daddy by by mommy and mean it.

Pickin flowers with Claire and Coco

TDSC02970hey are definitely girls I try so hard to get them into some boyish things but when it comes to all the things you picture a girl would do well they both do it.  Picking flowers, whining and screaming about clothes, wearing 10 shirts and literally 20 socks around the house because they can’t decide what to wear to using birthday candles to think they are painting there nails.  Not sure if this is typical girl behavior at there age but by goley it’s nuts.

On this voyage the girls were picking all kinds of flowers and putting them in my pockets like little collectors.  Every now and then we would stumble across an apple tree and trust me when it comes to apple trees it reigns supreme on the baby awesome scale over basDSC02982ically everything in the world so we pick apples and lots of them.

DSC03094We did a lot of curb climbing along our mission too especially Claire and the whole mission is to run curb to curb and count to ten for each step in both English and Spanish.  I am not even joking when I say she can count higher then me in Spanish I get brain stuck at about 7.

This walk was everything you would expect from a dreamy romance novel scene of a Sunday stroll with the family.DSC03105

We later went through a big field of dirt by our house and the girls got some private alone time but also had some learning lessons on setting there apples in dirt then eating them ewww and I was unable to clean the apples and Claire especially got pretty mad I could not complete a simple task like this.

We had some rompin fun along the way too in this video it is the girls running up and down and Coco loving getting told shes fast.  That girl is a bit on the wild side and while Claire loves to be told she is silly Coco loves a good your fast cheerleading session.

Families puky and we know it

vomiting cartoons, vomiting cartoon, vomiting picture, vomiting pictures, vomiting image, vomiting images, vomiting illustration, vomiting illustrations What seems like the one year anniversary to last year where one baby got sick and puky Amy was up all night for two days then other baby got it and Amy was up for two more nights followed by Amy getting really really sick to the point of death laying on the bathroom floor for two days followed by me down for a day in that order left us last year crying for help in a filth hole of messy smells dirty laundry dishes piled up and an experience I will never forget.

Well 4 days ago one baby was puke in then the next baby puke in but this year round it was much better baby wise and fell on the weekend really nice so I was hear to help but well now the babies are better and Amy is crawling around puck in all of the sudden.  While at the gym a few hours ago she was thinking wow I just don’t feel it biking her ass off was on the way home thinking she drank too much water and just didn’t feel right followed by ERIC CLEAN THE TOILET PLEASE and well she’s out for the count.  I am feeling sort of queasy but think it might be in my head and I am scrambling to clean up spray air freshener and give her a nice clean environment to help her through this but the night is well unknown.  At least this year round it is better so far but lets see if I can fight it and let’s hope Amy can get some sleep!

Weird never seen anything like this take out a family of four and the fact that this is the exact same pattern of people and days as last time is just even more strange.  I think babies must be incubating petri dishes and well lets hope I can fight this crudola off!

I see the moon

DSC02967Only caught the end but Coco was screaming at the window in a loop of baby jibberish mixed in with I see the moon I SEE IT I SEE THE MOON I see it I see the moon I see the moon I see it the moon (there is no moon)

How to fix a bed from a northern Michigan redneck

Our bed has been really irritating and likes to fall off at all four corners.  I have been getting nagged for sumtime ta fix this darn thing but had to figure out a way to doo it because well it’s broke and the screws are in the middle of the bed so hrmmm how can I do it.  Two nights ago at about 3AM our whole bed collapsed so yeah decided the supporting it with books  just waddnt cuttin it

I got it DOOR HINGES will GIT R DONE GOOD (bet you didn’t guess that one world!)

In case you need this handy dandy tip to fix an IKEA style bed pay attention.

First off this whole project will entertain twins for awhile so lets start out with that bit.  Coco is the tool girl she follows me around with screwdrivers and fixes things which is cute and Claire likes to run around and collect tea packets my goodness they are so different.

That time of year

DSC02943Yep summer is definitely ending and we are trying to squeeze as much life outta mother earth while she is still being so kind but soon enough that bitch will freeze me out Smile

I had some work to do and while doing this Amy got the girls ready for a bike ride and yeah I grabbed some videos.  They sure love the summer and it’s been so fun there growth has been amazing in what they can do and now they are saying sentences riding bikes and climbing around on playground equipment like professionals.

I think the initiation period of parenthood is almost over and next summer will be so much fun!

The fish aquarium

DSC02936Yep the girls love fish.  They have actually set a household mandate on having only fish diapers and will fight the crap outta you if they have anything but fish on them!

With the obsession we thought why  not take them to a place dedicating it’s existence to fish!

For note the pictures and video suck flash is kinda rude I think and my camera couldn’t figure out how to do anything

We tried here to get a family photo but at this stage they were very whiny and it didn’t work out.  It was a whole lot of fun though the whole trip and they really loved it.  I even bought them each a nemo fish and hide them behind my back and pretended to pull it outta a tank!

Gotta love being a magician

Luv ya hun

Wanted to tell you thank you for the best holiday ever it was great to spend some time in your world for a bit and get closer to the kids.  They have fertilized into such amazing little people and it is so cool all of the things you have thought them like sign language as they can express themselves in so many great ways never thought possible.  I know you have worked so hard to keep them ahead of the game and really hard every day at developing them.

Appreciate the hard work and dedication to our family and love that we are still so close and in love.  Let’s make each day count not only in moving forward in life but also moving forward in our relationship.

A slide as a gift

Well Tina and Ric sent the girls a slide and they love it.  Sadly I suck and injured a baby during it so there is a bit of screaming in the video but so far the girls have loved it(when the weather is actually nice) and it has become a permanent attachment to our pool.

Girls get a slide
Slidin and eatin

Apples in the trees

DSC02735During our bike rides and walks I once showed the girls that there are apples in trees!  Yep I add the exclamation point because they are now obsessed with these things.  During walks it is always a hunt for apples and even though they are so bitter I can’t even put a bit in my mouth they actually eat them because there just soo cool…  When we got home I cut up the apples in our slicer and were using our massive pile for toys and all kinds of fun.

We even learned that apples stick to your face and hair how cool.
