One year old

One year ago today I gave birth to my beautiful twin daughters :) How unexpected they were but I was over the moon with happiness and excitement. I remember when I told Eric that I was pregnant with twins, I had to meet him at the pub later that night :) The first time my husband ever went to the bar by himself to drink. I know we were both terrified but were so happy at the same time, and now we can't imagine life without our girls. Below is a picture of me 4 months pregnant, yes only four months you can imagine (and will see) what I looked like at the end of this long journey.
Here I am at different stages of my pregnancy

This photo I am 5 months pregnant notice the difference in one month! At five months I was the size of a full term pregnancy with a singleton.
Here I am below at 6 months pregnant. Oh my gosh I forgot how huge I was. This was taken the day my mommy came to stay which I am eternally grateful for.
Here I am about 3 weeks before delivery (7 and 1/2 months pregnant). I was so miserably sore and sick all the time :( but it was worth if of course.
Here are the first pictures of the girls. They were just born. Claire is first then Chloe below that. Awww :) I didn't get to see the babies for almost 2 weeks after they were born because I was so sick in ICU from loss of blood during csection.I remember looking at these pics my mom and Eric printed for me all day long.

Here are the girls one month old. Chloe is on the left and Claire on the right. They were only 4lbs when born so were still a little funny looking for a while. :)

2 months. Chloe first then below that is Claire. I remember Claire would only take this huge pacifier and refused all normal sized ones lol. Now only Chloe will take a pacifier at all.

3 months- Claire is on the left and Chloe is on the right. This is still one of my fav pics of the girls :) This is about the time they finally started sleeping through the night. Also around 3 months they would hold head up when on tummy and were getting better head control while sitting.

4 months- Claire is on the left and Chloe is on the right. They were looking at the mobile their Grandma Tina bought them :) At for months they started rolling over from tummy to back.
5 months- Chole is on the left and Claire on the right. This month they learned to roll from back to stomach and would scoot themselves on their backs by pushing their feet. This month the girls started eating some solids for practice and Claire loved it right away but Chloe wasn't so sure :)

6 months-During this month we spent most of the day doing tummy time, fortunately they didn't hate it like a lot of babies and they started army crawling at 6 months :) This was a fun month that felt like finally they are doing something :) Claire is on the left and Chloe right.

7 months-  Here the girls are at 7 months. Claire is the first pic and Chloe the second (with her goofy face that sometimes comes out ) :) This month the girls were crawling all over non stop. This month the girls could also sit with a little help every now and then. Also the girls had perfected their finger food eating skills.

8 months- Chloe is on the left and Claire on the right. This month the girls stated really interacting with each other (although not always nicely) and was a lot of fun to watch. This was the month were we found out Chloe was allergic (extremely) to the ABC mat in this picture, scary. The girls could sit up well at this point but still preferred playing on their tummy.

9 months- Claire is the one crying and Chloe is chillin  :) Look how ragged I have become only 9 months later :) The girls are upset in this pick because they cannot both practice their new skill of pulling up to stand and cruising at the same time, this is the month where I really wish their was another mommy around. Fun to see the new skills though.

10 months- Yeah the weather is finally nice and the girls start playing outside with mommy. Chloe is on the left and Claire right. The girls get to crawl around and walk (with mommy's help) outside almost each day now. Although they DO NOT like dirt. :) They are getting much better at cruising the furniture.

11 Months- Wow! How time has flown. The girls are really starting to interact even more, although most the time it is fighting over toys. However when they can't fight over toys like in their cribs they love each other so much! This is what mommy gets to see each morning! Love it! Girls want mommy to help them walk ALL day, this is the game of the month :)

1 year old! The girls eat mostly independently now! They love cheerios and spaghetti more then anything. The now sit like big girls at the table. Skills this month include clapping, waving and patty cake. Mommy still has to help us walk! but they are SO close to walking, I think they are just scared :)

What a year it has been! I wouldn't trade a minute for anything (ok to be honest maybe a few minutes of crying). It has gotten so much easier as the girls get older and seeing them become little people is amazing. Daddy is so good to them and they are very loved by us both! Wonder what the next year has in store for us?
