Claire and the case of roseola


Claire got a very high fever of 103 a few days ago with medicine rest baths and pampering she has gotten better but still looks very sick you can tell just by looking at her.  We have been swapping meds with her and yesterday she started getting a very serious amount of rashes all over her body.




This morning i helped amy halfway to the doctor and she is officially diagnosed with this:

Roseola
Exanthem subitum; Sixth disease
Last reviewed: November 2, 2009.
Roseola is an acute disease of infants and young children in which a high fever and skin rash occur.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors

The disease is common in children ages 3 months to 4 years, and most common in those ages 6 months to 1 year. It is caused by a virus called human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6), although similar syndromes are possible with other viruses.
Roseola occurs throughout the year. The time between becoming infected and the beginning of symptoms (incubation period) is 5 to 15 days.

Amy met some guy from Texas while she was out and is now on her way home.  The worst part is over but the strangest part is little coco never got sick at all shes been happier then crap.
